Edit: apparently this dude is calls himself a communist and stated the he expects Putin to bring Socialism to ukraine, which is still liberalism albeit a different liberalism than I thought when I posted so.

You would think someone who calls themselves a communist would know not to support Putin but theres so many different strains of brainworms going around these days who even fucking knows.

from what I can tell, Russian communist parties get weird. Dude seems pretty serious about his beliefs but he seems to have become infected with whatever weird brainworms their communist parties have. He mentioned something called "Essence of Time" which is what the communist unit he fights in adheres to and from what little is available about it in English it's some extremely weird USSR nostalgia thing mixed with anti neoliberalism, anti globalism, nationalism and anti LGBT :cringe:

EoT are a weird bunch. They are trying to synthesise Orthodox Christianity with Marxism in a way that seems to be legitimately working at reaching a shitload of people but at the same time is incredibly difficult to wrap your head around.

It's not exactly nazbol because they're definitely not looking to build ethno states or exterminate people and don't have any of the racial ideology but it's the kind of fucky thing that looks like them until you dig deeper and realise it's just mega brainwormy.

Anyway they've been fighting in Donbas for 8 years and have tens of thousands of followers so like I don't know what to say too much, they seem to understand their specific fucked up post soviet conditions in some way that successfully connects with people but I don't know if they really have the theory in leadership and it's hard to dig through all the russian language stuff and figure out whether they do or not.

New type of Orthodox Marxism dropped.

Seriously, I no longer know what's a TNO meme or not anymore because that sounds basically like the Siberian Faction.

I've no doubt they are, looking forward to an Orthodox liberation theology movement. :jesus-cleanse:

Would be interesting to see what Matt Christman would think of it since he has been talking plenty about how ideology need a religious dimension

FYI they were founded by a mathematician/theater director. So they’re like the most Russian political group ever.

The Donbas Republics generally claim Socialist Governments, although I recall a Doco with one of their leaders a few years ago that states that this is within tight limits imposed by Russia to stop them raising the Hammer and Sickle.

Whether they're actually Socialist is a matter of open debate.

the level of ideology in this hog is like those corn dogs that are cheeseburgers drenched in more corn dog and then double fried in oil

like being a chud but also falling for the lib propaganda but then also agreeing w the propaganda. definitely falls somewhere on the fractal lib-nazi compass

    Look everybody it's Russel Bentley.

    https://www.youtube.com/c/RussellBentleyTexac/videos

This guy's videos are something else. He's clearly extremely pro-Russia. But he also seems to legitimately believe Putin is going to "de-nazify" Ukraine. I mean, I don't believe that. But I haven't been in Donbas for eight years fighting as part of a communist paramilitary. So I guess critical support?

I knew the only guy providing decent English coverage from the Russian side of the lines would be ad-homonimined, whatever you think of the guy's views check his vids they're more accurate than most out there as it's lots of raw footage, my profile has a couple posted

Max may have become a vax braindead person (and others distanced themselves from him) but Grayzone as a whole has done better jounralisms and coverage than 99.999% of western media in the last whatever years (tho that might not be saying much). Especially for Latin America

I know they've done great coverages in the past and I love them for it. But some of their stuff over the past few months is weird. Maybe it's just Max.

          Thanks for the link.

Grayzone had my full support until Max got vax brainworms. Everyone else there seems cool though.
