they'll keep doing it until everybody has gone through shitting themselves in public while trying the carnivore diet. which will take literal decades due to the part of the userbase that never is in public and only shits themselves at home.

    "removed"

Edit: Oh it's a banned word. Duh, silly me.

You probably know the word tho, it's the combination of "feminist" and "nazi"

I'm glad it's not used as much now. It used to be all over youtube comments.

JK Rowling. She was always a shitty writer, but it’s especially cool she’s now viewed as the trash person she always was.

Buying into the misogynistic stereotype that women can't write, I see.

Anyone can be rude on the internet: Why don't you come to 124 Whitehouse Rd, Cramond, Edinburgh EH4 6DQ, and call me a "trash person" (another misogynistic trope) to my face?

The good part of Harry Potter, to me, has always been Wizards doing quirky things that only make sense to them. There's a couple scenes, mostly in the first movie, which capture this feeling pretty well. If that's all the movies focused on they might be fun even if the writing was weak.

Unfortunately about half the first movie and nearly all of the second is an attempt to do a dark drama with wizards, and that's a genre that needs good writing and a big tonal clash that would need to be handled delicately, and JKR's script just isn't up to the task.

Yeah, I was down with the first three movies cause it was Adventures in Wizard School. I took it for that and could suspend a lot of disbelief but once it started getting 'serious' the massive silliness of the core premise became harder to ignore.

Remember when every video game franchise just tried to become CoD? Or some kind of shooter?

Did you know XCOM has a third person shooter in the series? What the fuck?

not only is there an XCOM 3rd person shooter, it was originally going to be the series reboot for modern systems. The community raged until they decided to make an strategy game again

R***rd going the way of the dinosaurs is good, coupled with ppl with learning differences/disabilities being there to basically be the butt of a joke.

If you'd asked me a couplea weeks back I would have prob said people seem generally more aware of nazi apologia stuff like clean whermacht myth and all that but... what with recent events I can see a Michael Bay movie celebrating brave WW2 Ukranian partisans fighting off dastardly Soviet forces so there's that.

Some time around 2010s my school (and surely everywhere else) had a big "retire the R-word" campaign and to this day I'm astonished that it worked, kids were really mean back then

The general trend of 1990's comedy to have flat monotone narrators and actors who over-emote like a silent film character. Snack food advertisements had it real bad.

I wish Adam Sandler “be obnoxious and stubborn until revenge achieved and sex trophy attained” movies didn’t keep shuffling on year by year

All the memes that are just "phrase: item" seem to have died. They aren't copy paste as much as they once were, it's like people started using pirated copies of Photoshop instead of mspaint.
