    American Rescue Plan

Yeah, I remember that. It set the tone for the entire administration when Biden and the Dems sent out $1400 checks instead of the promised $2000 and cut the expanded unemployment from $600/wk to $300/wk. There was literally more economic relief under Trump which is fucking pathetic. What else did we get? A corporate giveaway infrastructure bill? Remember when the squad got "assurances" from Biden that if they voted for the shit bill, he'd get the better bill through? REMEMBER WHEN THAT HAPPENED :jokerfied:

And then they claimed they never actually promised $2000 checks when campaign posters in Georgia were promising exactly that

The conditions are perfect for someone (Trump, anyone) to come and and literally buy the election. Just promise people a cut on gas prices and across the board stipend of $1000 per month for one year, and student debt relief.

Oh absolutely. There are extremely dark days ahead. The US is running head-long into a recession, probably a bad one, if I had to guess. I'm not expecting things to be better in 2023 so a message like that would probably do wonders.

Democrats will means test any relief and run on a recession spending cuts platform.

Republicans will unilaterally do something good for the people money-wosr and just be unstoppable.

Party leaders are frustrated by how little credit they receive for enacting a massive economic stimulus and an infrastructure package, overseeing the distribution of coronavirus vaccines to hundreds of millions of people and fulfilling Biden's promise to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court.

Democratic Party leadership thinks they accomplished any of this or that much of this, in the form it's been implemented, actually positively affects people's lives?:jesse-wtf:

“Overseeing distribution of coronavirus vaccines and a black judge on the court”

They want us to thank them for doing the absolute bare minimum, as always.

Maybe my brain is broken, but I associate the vaccines with Trump (despite receiving mine post-Biden), operation Warp Speed and Kamala saying she wouldn’t take it, etc. Biden’s contribution was sitting on his desk and saying “it’s vaxxed or masked” :biden-troll:

Also the distribution wasn’t that good if you consider people actually taking the vaccine as part of it - only 44% are boosted :yea:

Absolute joke of an admin, like children playing grown ups

Can't wait for the dem strategy to go from we can't do it, to we can't do it because of manshin/parmesantarian, to we can't do it because of republicans refusing to compromise!

Once democrats explain to voters that the fine print in a footnote on a subpage of the campaign website said that they were in fact not promising anything apart from not being Donald Trump, the stupid voters will have to acknowledge that the democrats were technically not breaking any promises and that they therefore are still required to :vote: for them.

:maybe-later-kiddo:: "Vote for us and we'll do this stuff. it might be unpopular but it's necessary."

Somehow wins against a party that panders to popular opinion and has been winning culture wars left and right

:maybe-later-kiddo:: "Haha! SIKE! We're doing NOTHING!"

:maybe-later-kiddo:: "Wait where are you going, didn't you get what you wanted?"

Sometimes even I have to admit that the normie's labeling of democrats as lazy sticks. They seem all too excited to do absolutely nothing:

    • California? Our party dominates! What's the hurry? Let's just kick back and twiddle our thumbs on taxpayer dime.
    • In the rest of the US, we're a dying irrelevant third party? Oh well! Time to kick back, we're not needed anymore.....
