Vaush was getting blowback from being a misogynist to JK Rowling and was acting like he's the best spokesperson for trans people. A trans woman Kat Blaque posted some DMs that Vaush sent her where he was trying to debate bro his way out of looking like a piece of shit that people were laughing at, Vaush sent his cultists to harass her and Contra called him out on it, Vaushites proceeded to then start harassing her.

He's a centrist who learned a few words which sound almost leftist and uses them to make everyone mad because it drives engagement and monetizes his videos.

He’s way to fucking stupid to be fed. I think he’s TRIED to be (i think he even talked about being an informer) but he’s way to up his own ass and confrontational to the point of having every door shut to him to be the kind of person feds would want for an OP long term

      I'm too smug

You sure you've never heard of him? You're already following in his footsteps /s

He's a smug neolib streamer dipshit who calls himself an Anarcho-NATOist

How long before he literally says "they kept calling me a fascist so I had to become an anarco-fascist"?

That would actually be good for the left. If he just took the titles he lives and espouses he wouldn't be a very popular internet weirdo misleading a large enough swath of people about what the left is.

I think he's more likely to go down the "I'm the only real leftist" route. His audience is pretty committed to believing they're hardcore leftist revolutionaries who are fighting capitalism by voting for Biden.

Imagine a debatebro decided that the ultimate form of contrarianism was to be a left wing debatebro. Fundementally a right wing shitbag, but sometimes coming at a different angle to keep himself edgy

No lol. Watch her video on transmedicalism, she very clearly isn't.

She's made some tweet to the effect of "kids these days are nutty with the gender" and underatge twitter users decided it meant their internet best friend had betrayed them.

That would require me watching breadtubers - I get all my info on her from r/transgendercirclejerk and I will never watch breadtube

Okay but the thing is that Natalie understands production value. No wet faced logo t-shirt wearing messy hair with a backdrop of anime posters here. Contrapoints is a fancy production. It has lighting.

She's a gigantic lib of course but no, not truscum.

She made the very dumb decision to let Buck Angel voice on her videos. She also tweeted about how she felt a generational disconnect with younger Trans people who feel they can be more fluid with presentation (she thinks that is a good thing), and Twitter invented a Contrapoints and argued against it.

I mean, the Buck Angel thing was more than just featuring him in a video, she then pretended that the only bad thing he'd ever done was to out Lana Wachowski back in the early 00s(and strawmanned all her critics as anime nazis for caring about it) and also said that because Buck Angel is like a "trans legend" or something we cant tell him to fuck off for being a rampant quisling and transmedicalist.

Yeah she didn't really engage with the criticism of Buck Angel. He's a huge piece of shit and she (kinda) defended him. She did acknowledge other problems with what he said about non-binary people, etc, but in the context of hand-waving it all away, like "yeah he's wrong about this, why do you care so much?"

But the context was that she was at the center of a Twitter witch hunt because of a 15 second voice clip in one of her videos, which didn't endorse or even mention any of Buck's problematic views. People were hounding random other YouTubers just for being friendly with her, even if they had nothing to do with the controversy. It was crazy.

What, no? She’s had some controversy using Buck Angel as a voice actor, but I don’t think she herself has a had too* many issues.

I remember some controversy about how she talked about how performative gender can be, which I think some people had issues with.

Please, don’t take my word as gospel truth, I’m just a cissy who thinks she’s got some good points, even though she’s not hella left

i don't hate her, either. she still makes me laugh more often than she makes me cringe, but damn, does she make me cringe a lot.

i don't get why her blocking V*ush for being a sexist chaser pig is a bad thing, tho. it is entirely deserved and it's 100% a good thing when even libs cancel him now.

There's a general sentiment that she used to be more left and as she got popular/rich abandoned those ideals and is now just mega lib

People just read too much in to a parasocial relationship. She's always been a Bernie succdem. When people realized that their internet waifu wasn't a hard core maoist they lost their shit.

There was also some extremely stupid thing where Natalie said, paraphrased, that she envied how zoomers and young millenials can be more flexible in their gender presentation because she couldn't do that, and people decided that meant she was condemning non binary people or something. It was very dumb, but also very typical of internet discourse that focuses on being as disingenuously loud and outraged as you can manage.

She's also had some pretty mixed takes about transgender stuff, and she had a pretty well known transmisogynist guy in a video.

          Plus the whole antisemitic shirt.
