Looks like it. Both the colour and the flair for the meme looks a lot like GZD. Don't really remember seeing this meme though, and the title of it seems more like word salad than anything else.
On the other side of the coin, many anarchist spaces (including those on reddit) are extremely hostile towards MLs, and often from the right by repeating liberal propaganda like equating the USSR with Nazism, making allegations of "genocide denial" regarding Xinjiang, or just general "red fash" name calling.
Like yeah, cringe meme is cringe, but is this really the time to be infighting and (as some people in this thread are doing) celebrating the impending destruction of yet another leftist space?
Don't take my criticism as condemnation, there was a lot of good stuff on that sub. But like any political online space (this one included) there needs to be a way to direct the political development of individuals in the space to prevent reaction. The same applies to "anarchist" spaces like r/completeanarchy
when i'm Fighting Fascists, my preferred way to do it is to cheer for the descendants of those who protected their lands as they're invading another country. ya know, blood and soil, but antifascistly.
It's 1 shitpost vs the endless torrent of the Western Propoganda machine, get some perspective you lib
Ah, sure sure "it's just a shitpost". Tho, all the cheering of the russian invasion I have seen there as if it was cool and good make me think there's a lot of idiots there, despite most users being cool and good.
It’s the symbol Russians are using to denote support for the invasion of Ukraine.
Supposedly short for за победу (za pobedu) which means, not a meme, "For The Win" (or "to victory", whatever you get it). I don't know why they would go for the romanization instead of using з, maybe it's like a joke in Russian? Regardless of its origin, it means support for invasion now.
You might not like the terrible takes some of the new baby libs/wreckers/feds might be posting, but to ban the whole sub when its arguably the biggest counter to the imperialist narrative on :reddit-logo: would be counterproductive.
Yeah, I feel bad for making this post fucking minutes before the site got quarantined
I'd rather them purging these stupid takes than killing the whole subreddit
It's already been quarantined lmao.
But for non credible sources
I agree clearly because the less openly communist places available for everyone the better.
I never got the impression that place was openly communist as it was contrary as possible to make the most amount of people mad. The communist stuff just seems part of the attitude of trolling contrarianism
Are you aware that genzhou exists as an educational sub?
Don't underestimate the amount of people that were radicalized and had their first contact with ML and then marxism because of genz. Stop trying to make as if everything comes down to the 14yo making shitposts.
The consensus seems to be that this was just a symbol the military chose randomly to draw on the military vehicles going to Ukraine to distinguish them from Ukrainian vehicles most of which are also Soviet-made. Now it came to mean support for the "military operation" in Ukraine.
i mean i've literally seen people on gzd say that anarchists are worse than nazis, so yeah not exactly the most level headed people there
still tho theres fking nazis on reddit rn, and those should take higher priority over a couple of annoying posters
