The same people who earnestly believe that the Slavic skull shape makes them incapable of creating public infrastructure because they're too busy being amorous toward forest-dwelling ursines. In other words, :reddit-logo:

"Greetings Mother, I hope this text finds you well.

I have seen all 150,000 of my friends in Bullet Magnet Squadron shot with bullet, also the donkey that pulls my truck is sick. Please do not tell Kremlin that I now know what Freedom is.

LOL (Lots of Love), Yvgeny Goonovitch"

Russia and Ukraine were literally part of the same country when they built all the infrastructure. Most of that stuff probably came from literally the same factory. And it's not like Ukraine has had some booming economy the past 30 years, the opposite actually

    lol this is so stupid

Russia has a per capita average income of about US$6k, the average Ukrainian per capita income is $2k.

Also I’m pretty sure Russian soldiers saw asphalt on the roads they drove to the borders on

I’ve noticed Ukrainians seem to really love the word “cool”

Zelenskyy used it to describe Bandera worship. Ukrainian spokespeople use it. That Azov guy who predicted the war described the war against Russia as “cool”

    Is this a translation thing?

czenglish is sort of a thing, they basically say words from english but they lose their original meaning so now it means something different/adjacent to the other meaning. its sort of like how americans use words like gungho or brainwashing from china

idk what the deal is with ukrainian on this though

Lol I don't believe that for a second.

Edit: lol in the thread he points out that it's true in parts of rural Russia, as if it isn't the case in rural Ukraine, or even rural America.

Edit 2: In my Eastern European country this urban/rural disparity got worse under capitalism, and even worse as the country aligned more with the European Union. My grandparents' village used to have paved roads and street lights. Now that we're a European Union member it's a roll of the dice whether there will even be running water for weeks after a pipe bursts.

      even rural America.

I grew up on a dirt road. The whole neighborhood isn't even paved still and the first pavement laid down was in like 2003. And even then we fucking paved it ourselves because it was an unincorporated area without even public trash service.

jfc he's a literal child. I just want to take a pause and say that yes Ukraine sucks but also fuck every capitalist nation sending poor child soldiers into the meatgrinder for their own geopolitical aims.

They were told all the times that Ukraine is a failed state with people who work like slaves in Europe and have nothing. Now they see the reality where every gasoline station has a computer-operated coffee machine with 30 types of teas, coffee and hot chocolate, and a whisky bar.

You claim Ukraine is poor yet their gas stations have treats :so-true:

Um... nice try but that's just Russian propaganda.

I don't trust anything I can see with my own eyes. I only trust third party accounts of wire-tapped phone calls between unnamed enemy officers and their families.
