Redditors are a different breed. Nobody gives a fuck about the Ukraine war anymore but you meet the 1% that still thinks Ukraine is owning Russia on Reddit.

Same with their Israel positions. Fucking YouTube comments are better about the Israel-Palestine war than Reddit comments are.

I haven't thought about that but you're absolutely correct. When I see YouTube comments they're largely pro-Palestine but Reddit comments just thirst for blood the vast majority of the time

Hell this is selling it short. YouTube comments in indian nationalist media are pro palestine. It's insane how bad reddit is and the only way to avert psychic damage is to assume the whole place is astroturfed.

All of which spent their time on Reddit prior to 2022 wheeze laughing about how poor and depressed Russia is, even when the footage was actually from Ukraine, and then shrugging and saying "what's the difference, same shit hole" or something else awful like that

Meanwhile its totally fine that Zelenskyy didn't let people leave his country because he wanted to force them to fight his war

Isn't the "motherland" just "homeland" in concept? IE the birth/home country of origin that you have? I was under the impression that members of the USSR all considered their "motherland" to be different countries within the ussr.

Has this dumbass done a single ounce of thought on whether his own country would expect him to die for his own "motherland" ? Almost certainly an american, and almost certainly would be drafted if a war required it.

Yes but it's Russian so it's different. Sorta like how Russians don't have rich people that own everything instead they have oligarchs.

It's more democratic because we changed the rules to stop a popular president from being able to stay in office even if the people want them to. Now, please choose between Hitler and Orange Hitler; it's the most important election of our lifetime!

Americans foaming at the mouth when Bad Country elects a popular leader for the third time in a row, because obviously term limits are not merely constitutional but natural law. Unless you're a congressional rep or a senator. Or a judge.

They heard about the Antarctic surgeon who took his own appendix out and were inspired to apply the principle to proctology.

It’s just heuristics. They’re propagandized so hard that they’ll just make up things that “make sense.”
