:so-true: Jokerfied Kenobi
"Character driven" means the plot will be badly written.

It's literally definitionally nothing like The Joker unless it's about how stupid Star Wars fans are.
I think the Rian Johnson movies were the Old Republic thing they were talking about
Also the reason is that you know who Obi-Wan Kenobi is
i'm not sure you can fix a soft reboot and throwing out decades of canon, but it would have been more coherent than the messes jj abrams made
Wasn't a lot of the old canon just as dumb as the new one
They also had a flimsy excuse for still having all those marketable Stormtroopers around, they also brought back Palpatine etc
the Disney buyout would have been a great time to make some of that good shit canon and skip the bad stuff, but instead they made all new bad stuff.
some of the really dumb shit from the otherwise beloved clone wars cartoon was getting into the late books, and that was bad but overall legends was good and even the crap is better than jj abarams.
I liked rogue 1 for this, at least there were like no common characters.
Not a movie, TV show. I think they just shitcanned the Rian Johnson SW movie trilogy saying that Star Wars isn't about movies anymore
Just let it die, capitalism, please stop milking it, the cow is old and tired and wants a rest.
at least if it's relegated to a streaming service you can pretend it doesn't exist. that's me with star trek.
So is Joker considered the new standard or something? I keep seeing new projects described as being Joker-like.
It's the peak of kino for people who only watch big franchise movies
Idk the Mandalorian was fun at least. I'll probably enjoy this too. The TV shows for whatever reason tend to be much better than the movies.
That said, what an absolutely bizarre comparison.
yeah, I didn't watch Boba fett, I wasn't counting it. I guess by tv shows I just meant The Clone Wars, Mandalorian, and maybe Rebels was alright too
EDIT: I have retracted my opinion, just watched the first three episodes of the new Obi-Wan series. The first two may have been alright, but everything just falls apart in the third. It looks like it's not the tv shows in general that have the capability to be good, but only those that center on new characters.
I know y’all are killjoys but I’m fucking pumped for this show
I just think it's funny they're comparing it to the Joker
Oh it’s hilarious, I was more talking to the other comments than your post
after being disappointed by mandalorian 2 and boba fett, I'm ready for this series to bring star wars' tv show record to 50%.
Get J. Michael Straczynski or Ronald D. Moore involved, and I'll actually believe it.
the wolverine movie. no not that one, the other one. no the other-other one
Are they hinted that it's R rated? That's like the only trait those two movies have in common, lol.
