Unless you exclusively listen to artists phoning it in to get their radio singles out and then fill the rest of the album with forgettable filler, I can't imagine not at least having the full album in your playlists. I won't always listen to the full album in order, but there's a bunch of genres where you'd be insane not to at least do so on occasion.
Some albums are crafted to be listened in one go, and most albums have some kind of cohesion tying the tracks together.
For example, The Rainbow Goblins by Masayoshi Takanaka is best listened in one sitting - there's a progression (and story) between the tracks that's lost when the tracks are split up or out of order.
Having said that, there are artists out there who should probably just release EPs and compilations instead of albums with a hit single or two and filler. A well crafted album is an art in itself.
Most of the albums I listen to have good sonic and thematic cohesion and no skips. Folk, indie, dad rock, emo-alt-metal, I'll usually listen to album-wise. Sometimes I'll make playlists that are just me reordering an album or cutting some tracks.
Pop is usually for playlists, though I'll listen to new albums from artists that I like for a few days. Kpop in particular has a different typical release structure than western pop music which makes it more suited to playlists (EPs are the norm, lots of standalone singles)
Unless I have a particular mood or something that generic nondescript songs in a playlist would fill, I literally never listen to anything except full albums or manually going to specific songs on spotify to listen to them when I feel like listening to them.
Huh? Idk I also grew up in an Era of iTunes and singles and still, so many albums are worth listening to in order. I don't exclusively listen to albums, but mostly yeah I'll throw on an album and listen through, alpt of people do this too. I feel like for many many artists you can't really appreciate them fully without hearing out their whole artistic thing that is an album.
Also how albums change and grow on you, different songs start to sound better as you "get" them. Like, for example, cosmogramma and LA by flying lotus are albums that absolutely should be listened through. Faces by Mac miller is another one that's worth listening to all the way through. Idk I could list albums but there's too many

A well crafted album is a nice thing
Depends on the genre.
