Dirt bikes in NY sound not great. The real evil here is the confiscation of electric bikes from delivery workers, taking away their livelihoods.

The rich white people in my city freak out about the dirt bike groups in my city like you can't just slow down for 10 seconds and let them go around you. It's great!
The city could have offered a voucher to service or upgrade their bike but instead they decided to punish people. I wonder how many people depended on those motorbikes to get around and are devastated that they couldn't just pay a fine and get it back.
The funny part here is that i'm pretty sure most New Yorkers would gladly participate in the reverse program. Where you trade 1 cop for a dirtbike. Whether the cop gets run over with a bulldozer is optional. The NYPD could even host it as a charity event and plug their "budget shortfalls" which they keep seeming to have.
