opsec reminder: do not doxx yourself based on your piss zone
I have to put the seat down otherwise my cats try to drink from the toilet :kitty-cri-texas:
My cat used to try that until I started turning the faucet on for her to drink from
she demands the freshest, crispest water and I guess freshly-flushed toilet water qualified. shes also tried drinking the water out of my mouth when I use my water flosser, she's a gross baby :visible-disgust:
I even got them a little kitty water fountain but the older one still tries to get at any source of water she can. She also tries to drink from any glasses that get left out so I can only drink from a waterbottle.
Cats prefer running water because they see it as safer than standing stagnant water. They even make little water bowl fountains for them that keep the water moving.
Do people actually not put the seat down before flushing?

Ran into someone recently who was confused by people putting the seat down. Here’s my pitch.
Whenever you smell poop, it’s because tiny particles of poop are going into your nose. The stronger the smell, the more particles are in the air. If you’re someone who leaves the seat up, pay attention next time you shit and flush. The smell gets stronger. If you put the lid down, the smell gets weaker. Less poop in your face? Sounds like a no-brainer

Not entirely true, some compounds produce gasses, and poop is one of them - esp as the bacteria in it keep eating it they'll keep farting. That said there's def aerosolized poop flecks thrown all over your bathroom when you flush without the lid down
