Imagine being so lame and boring that you’re willing to dig up a corpse to avoid even the implication of hypothetical cool and fun stuff happening in the afterlife.

Yes! I love that passage about how Jesus says marriage isn't valid in heaven. Because evangelicals today place so much emphasis on marriage and family, and according to Jesus none of that even matters.

Yeah lol, there's like zero religious justification for this, if my atheist ass remembers correctly from Sunday school.

      Puritans are fucking weird

28 "...Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”

29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

    w...whatever that means. :biblically-accurate-kitty:

Omg, they acutally think Heaven is just Mar a Lago but for eternity. No singing at the foot of God or just chilling and basking in his light. Like God might as well not be there at all.

Their image of Heaven is Hell. They're demon worshipers folks.

Mar a Lago but for eternity is exactly how evangelicals view heaven, which is perhaps the most fucked thing about their worldview. Like that's the reward they think its all worth it for

Confused as to which corpse is being sued to move, or if its a "loser familys corpse has to be moved" situation, that classic situation.

Being forever trapped in and somehow in control of your skeletal remains, clawing your way through the soil to dry hump the skeleton in the next grave over already sounds like heaven to me, but if you're telling me we could bring a third long dead body into the mix...

Family is probably mad they had to wait longer to collect their inheritance because their grandfather lived longer due to having a partner after their longtime wife died. Same for the second wife's family.
