How many of her followers know who Chiang Kai-Shek is, no way it's more than 10%. Worst virtue signaling I've seen in ages.

the vast majority are hearing about Chiang Kai-Shek for the first time, will infer that he was an enemy of le evil see see pee, and invent a fictitious Chiang Kai-Shek based on that

The difference is that ten years ago a neocon would have done this with full knowledge of what CKS was about and they'd have been winking into the camera. Now you've got your MTGs who have no clue and idk which is worse.

Taking a photo at the tomb of the dictator who claimed to be legitimate leader of China for his whole life, all in order to support "Taiwan independence and democracy" :galaxy-brain:

When you save the world from fascism and the official stance of the CPC is still "70/30", the "30" must be really bad to weigh that heavily.

Is that the CPC line on Stalin? I thought that was their stance on Mao, the 70/30 thing, am I misremembering?

By the transitive property then it sounds like the CPC thinks Stalin is only 49% good

In addition to what others have said I think this was just a casual remark by mao and later deng, and not anything official.

The main reason I know it is bc I use it to shut up libs who seem to think Mao's ghost is still in charge of China

the CKS memorial hall is going to be torn down and replaced with something else. it's been planned for a long time. the guy was a dictator of a gov that fled to Taiwan and committed actual human rights violations on the people there.

CKS is so popular in Taiwan that the KMT opposition keeps winning elections. Must be something about his legacy on the island idk
