How has the parent of a 3 year old not yet realized that kids do psycho shit for no deeper reason sometimes. When I was little I drew and wrote about people getting blown up and/or lit on fire and I turned out fine. Well, except for all the the ramifications of trauma from my adolescence. But ignoring that for a moment the point still stands :copium:

That said, you can continue to monitor your child’s attitudes towards death and harm to ensure they’re developing a healthy understanding of suffering, viewing it as something bad that shouldn’t be wished upon people under most circumstances.

surely suffering should never be wished on anyone. Self defence goes to use of violence to keep yourself and others safe but suffering is still a thing to minimise

I want capitalists, landlords, the people who destroyed public transit and will cause the death of us all through climate collapse to suffer

why though I want them to stop doing it sure and be prevented from counterrevolution but what do I get from their suffering and what does it benefit those they've hurt

Sometimes a little retribution is okay for those who cause and benefit from mass suffering

yeah but that's all punitive justice gets you. Cruel punishments don't make anything better for anyone a focus on making sure people can't be a danger to others is more practical

I want retribution for oppression, it's not like I'm arguing for punitive shit for petty crime

yeah I'm not unsympathetic I just think it's a distraction from wanting to help victims of oppression

What is wrong with these people? It’s just a kid playing with a train set. And it was funny.
