We'll learn that Iraq had nukes and it was actually former Soviets controlling them. Also they did indeed do 9/11.
Was going to say, setting this in Iraq feels redundant as we already had an Iraq stand-in in the first modern warfare, the whole game was like influenced by the war.
and in MW2019 like every level was just a retell of a different Iraq war movie, with some Iran and Syria thrown in. what more is there to say guys? unless this game has Captain Price dome George W. Bush with a Desert Eagle in first person I don't fucking care.
unless this game has Captain Price dome George W. Bush with a Desert Eagle in first person I don’t fucking care.
God I wish.
The only redeeming thing about black ops is that it very heavily implies that your character killed JFK. Lol
Iraq stand-in
The original Modern Warfare took place in a post-revolutionary Saudi Arabia which unified with Iraq and Kuwait.
There's a cinematic mission were you are a traitor of the revolution and you get shoot by the secundary villain of the game.
For some reason (racism and islamophobia i guess) the OpFor is also present in Afghanistan in the sequel.
Ah I thought or remembered wrong that it was a fictional country.
I think they don't even care to mention it in game, they just show random middle-eastern and russian locations with some narration.
Well if highway of death was done by those evil Russians, then why not blame them for Iraq as well!
No no no, you don't understand. It's a totally different fictional battle that just happens to be in the same country in the same war! SMH my head you gommulist conspiracists
And it's also just coincidence that the battle shares the name with a real life battle. Totally by chance, pinky promise
Watch them try to spin the Saddam Hussein as being a Soviet puppet somehow. Then a rogue groups of “Muslim extremists Or the “bad ones” want to do something with a nuke that’s aimed at like Israel or something
In COD4 the Saddam standin nuked his own city for the explicit purpose of killing American soldiers because that makes sense. Then it turns out he was just a puppet for the crazy Russian baddy and he gets captured and executed in literally the very next mission
I need to do a play through of the the remastered ones. Cod 4 and mw2.
I tried to with black ops. Made it through 1, and the second mission in black ops 2 I had to quit because it was so fucking stupid
Kill streak gets you the apache gunship scene where you gun down journalists because you mistake cameras for ak-47s.
oh my god what if they have a chelsea manning stand-in and they advertise it as trans character representation
where you gun down journalists because you mistake cameras for ak-47s.
very charitable to assume this actually happened and wasn't just an excuse made up after the fact
Not only will America come to your country and kill all your people, but what's worse is that they'll come back 20 years later and make a movie about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad.
Looks to be right on schedule. Looking forward to the scene where our protagonist is very sad about a bunch of civilians getting murdered but does nothing.
CoD is and has always been imperial propoganda :israel-cool:
The US army quit making their official video game propaganda tool because call of duty was doing it better for them
I can't wait to re-play Collateral Murder except the journalists are US troops and the helicopter is Russian for some reason.
Don't forget how sad the poor genocide perpetrators were after murdering civilians. Sure millions of civilians died, but can you spare a thought for the people responsible being scared of fireworks?????
You play as DeSantis, the CIA asset who rides along with the spec ops team and advises them on exactly what lies to tell to avoid war crimes prosecution.
There’s gonna be a part about how throwing child corpses into burn pits made PFC Kyle sad
I'm sure they'll handle it with the unbiased sensitivity those games are known for.
cod games should start with the character as a child growing up playing call of duty until they join the military to commit war crimes.
