two button meme but it's "host a sex party on my yacht" vs "get mad at anonymous strangers online"

Love that ghoul go-to retort of "You're jealous."

"Stop being jealous of all my hoarded insulin, you lowly diabetic!"

It's not jealousy, it's shocked disgust towards your cruelty and avarice

one thing i've noticed about Britain, as compared with the US, is that open displays of elitism aren't frowned upon. Like obviously Amerikkka hates its poor, but even the wealthy here will pretend to be working class. but i'm looking at the replies here and the bootlicking is off the charts, from people who presumably will never have a yacht or a fancy title.

My favorite genre of news is BBC reporting on "authoritarian" countries and them calling elected leaders "dictators" then cutting to coverage of the queen.

they literally have an aristocracy and the House of Lords is part of parliament. at least in the US the rich and powerful can pretend that they're "self made" even when they're not, but it's incredibly deranged to lick the boots of people who just fucking inherit some bullshit title of nobility

If you want to be rich, your ancestor from 900 AD should've been enfeoffed through distinguished service to the crown. Didn't think that, did you peasant?

If I had no other choice except which oligarchs to have around, I'd rather have them prancing around in fancy finery in gilded carriages than trying to be human and relatable by awkwardly pitching how B A B Y R A Y ' S is ideal for slathering over M E A T F I B E R S. :kombucha-disgust:

The fact that this guy was a Labour member until 2015 tells you everything you need to know about the Br*tish "left".

The Brits get furious when Americans talk about their government and say "It's not like the US. It's different" while their two biggest parties do their best to mimic the Democrats and Republicans.

Labour was very early on hijacked by British aristocrats and bourgeoisie, unlike other European "socialist" parties which at least had a radical Marxist past (eg the SPD). The whole point of it was to represent part of the establishment who argued "you know, maybe we shouldn't push the poors too much. We can even gain compliance from them by sharing the spoils and calling it Socialism". So its turn to Blairism and increasing similarity to US Democrats is not at all unexpected in hindsight.

There is something deeply flawed with humanity over the fact that these spoiled brats constantly rub their spoiled lifestyle in our faces, and people eat it up. Majority groups smugly rub society's hatred of minority groups for no reason, and everyone loves it.

But if the weak opposes the strong, it's seen as a tragedy even if it's the ballsiest thing you can do. A lion eating its prey is expected, a prey standing its ground against the king of the jungle and holding its own should be impressive....not be met with scorn.

"Influencers" were a mistake. It's just an accelerated version of what was already bad.

When I first heard about the character named "lord Sugar" and his views I believed it to be hamfisted satire. It took me long to realise that this was in fact a real person.

Nevertheless I think it is good for the socialist cause when vampiric oligarchs acts like he does. He's a prime example of why oligarchs should simply be abolished and their hoarded wealth given back to the people.

    He's real life :porky-happy:

I think the same thing for people like :good-morning: here in the States. Acting so unabashedly elitist and showing contempt for your own base works wonders for your actually Left Wing opposition.

Of course, there's the other edge to this sword in that some of those elitist vampires can effectively wield populist rhetoric and branding like :trump-anguish:.

I miss the glory days of 2015 Twitter when Alan Sugar and Donald Trump would get into toddler arguments about who was the better Apprentice host

Anglo island classism is something else, don't they discriminate by accent?

Most countries have discrimination by accent. Americans perceive Southern accents as being less intelligent, and that's when a fellow cracka is speaking.

Smh, the bourgeoisie don't even have the tact of ignoring the suffering of the poor anymore.
