September 16th's mini-update is here, because western journalists are bad at their jobs. Here's the in-thread comment.

Today and tomorrow I'm gonna be doing some prep as I'm moving in a few weeks. The updates will continue as planned on Monday.

Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Armenia is asking Russia for aid as Azerbaijan has advanced 10km into Armenia's territory.

Armenian protestors are outside parliament and are beginning to break through the gates.

They fucking hate armenians. Also probably west also told them to start stirring shit, but they're happy to do so.

About 20 years ago there was a case where an azeri soldier beaten to death an armenian with an axe in his sleep while they were sleeping in the same hostel. When the guy was extradited the azeri government pardoned him right at the airport where hundreds of people celebrated him.

i stayed there for a few months a few years ago and when i was applying for my visa i had to attest that id never been in "the region referred to as armenia" or had any affiliation with freedom fighters from the region

im probably not remembering how it was worded but they were basically trying to word it in away that disregarded the validity of armenia existing. They called it something else too "west something or another area" but i cant remember, i feel like they called it armenia since it was in english

you should look into the pogroms they committed against armenians before it.

Basic nationalist territorial disputes as far as I know and Russia is busy in the Ukraine and might not be able to honor their CSTO commitments so now is an opportune time to strike. I would also be very surprised if there isn't some really shady Americans edging them on, promising all sorts of nice stuff if they open a second front for Russia.

Ceasefire is in place but tenuous, I think Azeris might still be on Armenian territory. They allegedly shot at some Russian peacekeepers too.

America and Russia and I assume Turkey must have pressured them into a ceasefire for now. Protesters are pissed at the PM for being a western pushover and too cozy with Azeris, hiding in a bunker and rumors going around he may surrender a bunch of territory. They demand his resignation and I believe a more hardline military policy in terms of defense, I’m not exactly sure what the protesters demands are yet other than anti-current prime minister
