I mean, the Republic clone army were basically child soldiers, but the Confederacy of Independent Systems had General Grievous out there committing genocide on entire planets at the behest of the fucking Banking Clan, Trade Federation, and Techno Union (cat-vibing). Even without Papa Palpatine and Daddy Dooku playing puppetmasters over the whole conflict, the CIS lost all credibility the moment they aligned themselves with bourgeois reactionaries with no plan to contain them and no popular movement capable of stamping them out after the war. Ironic, given that the Mid-Rim CIS member worlds (who absolutely had valid grievances against the exploitation and greed on display from the Core worlds) proved to be well-versed in guerilla tactics, eventually giving rise to the rebellion against the Galactic Empire.

TL;DR: The cis are a bunch of robots, and it's morally OK to hack them to pieces with your pink and blue laser swords because those robots are property of bourgeois pricks, and property damage against bourgeois pricks is based.
