Someone posted the truck pic on hexbear, I posted the text of these meme in the comments, somebody else glued them together and posted them on facebook, six resharing websites later it ended up where I steal memes from. So I decided to repost it here, because ouroboros.

Why don't Americans just buy an expensive Audi or BMW like normal dickheads instead of these cartoon contraptions

those don't shout "I'm rugged individual cow boy man" even though they live in suburbs

Yeah. Americans have this cultural pretension of being a rugged farming cowboy in most of the country, so that's the image they want to cultivate to look wealthy and high class. Small expensive European cars are viewed as effeminate and aligned with Liberalism.

When I hear "small European car" I think of Fiats, not German luxury cars :michael-laugh:

I guess they are too puny for Americans

Weird how much money people will spend just to look working class.

I love it. Working class is when your idiot truck is useless for work because you need a crane to get shit into the bed

Bold of me to imply the bed isn't permanently empty

Basically everything looks like it is designed for a literal Halo Spartan... That is it. If a space marine cannot ride it I'm not interested...

Ironically these trucks are probably the least suited out there for combat, have fun having your massive fucking engine get blown to bits by a single sniper shot

Hiluxes are also extremely reliable, which is a big thing if you're going to drive one through an unpaved desert without stopping for maintenance.

I wonder exactly how poorly a Chevy would do under those conditions.

These newer breeds are also extremely dangerous for pedestrians and smaller vehicles as their horribly distorted snouts also affect their vision. They'll often run down whatever is in front of them because they are completely unaware of what's in front of their noses.

Do your due diligence and call your local scrapyard so that these new, more dangerous breeds. could be put down, ending their suffering as well as reducing the risk for the general public.

god it would be so fucking funny if somewhere passed an ordinance that would let people just call a number to have a brodozer towed and crushed for being road illegal. Maybe even offer like a $100 reward. I would make that my career to just call that shit in and get them put down.

I tried to make sure that you were credited when Conner posted it to instagram, but for some reason your comment isn't showing up on the original thread:

Yeah the admins sped up the site by doing something funky with the queries that made them not return posts older than so and so age, so old stuff is really inconsistent now.

I do a lot of gardening and I'm always moving trees from one place to another in my Jetta. My whole family keeps trying to get me to buy a truck, but it's impossible to find a reasonably sized one that isn't super old. The Hylux is the closest thing to a normal sized truck that's newish, but they don't sell them in the US. There's a place near me that sells imported Japanese Kei trucks that I'm considering, but they'e kinda expensive.
