oh yeah, russia definitely spent time, effort, and resources to covertly bomb their own pipeline instead of hitting the big button marked "stop"

I don't buy it either, but Europeans are the biggest US simps out there. America can only do good because it's a democracy. Any thoughts of it doing the opposite is Putinism.

the whole point of a false flag is to manufacture a reason to go to war. Russia's already at war, lol. A false flag would also require that people in this situation be willing to change their minds based on that false flag. They clearly aren't lol.

But considering Russia has been able to get Europeans to bend over without any false flags, why now?

I hate how asking this question often leads libs down the path of claiming that Putin is an inscrutable oriental at heart.

Someone I know bought a really bougie German fridge once. Turns out it doesn't have the little buzzer that sounds if the door is left ajar and everything melted.

Damn thing cost as much as a car and didn't have a feature that cheapo Haiers come with.

Every weapons system given to Ukraine thus far has been both a war winning Wonder Waffle and not enough to actually win the war.

Remember when they were talking up HIMARs as the thing that would do it? Before that it was the M777. Before that the Javelin.

the HIMARS thing is particularly bizarre

In fairness to the Ukrainians (never thought I'd say that) the Russians also have the habit of bringing out priests to bless their tanks and guns. Maybe its more normal in Orthodox Christianity.

Aren't German tanks too heavy to drive on Ukraine's shitty road-system? In particular their bridges, which are all from the soviet era, where they designed for tanks that were significantly lighter than what the west had.

Pretty much all tanks are. Sort of the joke of modern armored cavalry.

Tanks, in general, are finicky delicate crudely engineered devices regularly prone to failure. So much of tank warfare is just about the supply lines necessary to keep the whole rolling front line up and running.

They're also really big easy targets for advanced artillery.

Tankies won't tell you this, but Tank Bad.

Supposedly most late Soviet tanks are lighter armored than contemporary NATO tanks specifically because the lower weight will allow them to be more mobile in Eastern European terrain. Can they stand up to a 1 to 1 with an Abrahms? No. But that doesn't matter when the Abrahms is buried in eight feet of mud.

I mean, it doesn't matter when modern warfare is just a bunch of random assholes with javelin missile systems hoping to catch your T-69-420-1337 napping.

High precision rocket propelled munitions do everything a tank pretends to do by replacing a durable piece of heavy machinery with a cluster of expendable idiots.

Or...hear me out....we can admit fossil fuels are a primitive energy source and we should switch to renewables ASAP, even if some meatheaded chavs and white trash can't compensate for their micropenises as easily?

Ever since the massive spikes in energy that happened over the summer, I've watched helplessly as my government has been attempting neoliberal half-measure after neoliberal halfmeasure in order to prevent the population from ousting her and putting her head on a spike. So far they've reduced the tax on electricity, and done some means-tested "if you live in these areas and primarily heat your home using electricity, you get a check for 6000 kr. (about $1000)". I have seen exactly zero discussion about maybe nationalizing that big fucking energy company (which is supposedly also hurting, but wont say how much) that her predessor (another useless social democrat) privatised. There is also very little talk about building more capacity, which I am going to assume is because we are being hamstrung by both the EU and the complete lack of ability that my country demonstrates on the daily. Apparently it's because a lot of people are complaining that windmills (our current best bet for renewable energy in this flat and open country) lower their property values :bear-despair:
