I mean, I guess it could have been a coincidence that they cast him as Sideshow Bob, an unabashed Republican, but probably not.
He's like, a really smart sounding and looking person, but also has a muscular frame - great casting choice. Also a complete dumdum, so the perfect moldable actor.
