Now that Beast has gone full fascism and is basically the Henry Kissinger/Richard Helms of Krakoa, having a high-profile, scandal-ridden Hollywood conservative play him was, and would continue to be, the ideal marriage of character and actor.

"If they don't ask me to return to the role of Beast, I'll never go to Disneyland again," Grammer told MovieWeb.

Threaten is doing quite a lot of work in that headline.

The last time I took notice of the X-Men franchise (I burned out during the "who fucked who" soap opera between Wolverine/Cyclops/Jean Grey), Beast was like the ultimate liberal. Was he scratched recently?

Since the establishment of the mutant nation of Krakow, Beast has assumed a leadership of X-Force, Krakoa's version of the CIA. Since then he's committed literal genocide, made sex holograms in the Danger Room, and most recently allowed Wolverine to die so that he can be remade into a mindless killing machine.

And as for the Jean/Scott/Logan thing, they live as a polycule on the moon now.

Is this at the same time? :what-the-hell:

he was a really great casting choice, but apparently he’s a chud or something?

I mean, I guess it could have been a coincidence that they cast him as Sideshow Bob, an unabashed Republican, but probably not.

He's like, a really smart sounding and looking person, but also has a muscular frame - great casting choice. Also a complete dumdum, so the perfect moldable actor.

That was a bit too silly even for a Marvel movie and I'm glad they cut it.
