Ain't it ironic.

It's almost like a state that can't provide housing, food, healthcare, a livable environment, infrastructure that isn't crumbling, and a fare justice system not predicated on the exploration of minority communities might be inherently unstable and requires large structural changes to stop the coming collapse.

Literally most of the shit we're asking for (M4A, GND) would save American capitalism if they stopped there. But they've bought their own rhetoric so hard they'd rather let the economy, country, or even the world die than give working-class "freeloaders" anything.

Well, or they're just so racist. Bit of both probably.

A highly social democratic welfare state with heavy investment in healthcare, worker's rights, social programs, etc. would massively kneecap any anticapitalist movement. The ultra wealthy could still live in their 1% luxury bubble, and if they sacrificed some of their wealth they would ensure that the system that benefits them will never be seriously threatened. How many people do you think would legitimately care about stuff like the alienation of the worker or surplus value if literally everybody works few hours, gets all the support they need, and knows they'd never get thrown out onto the street to starve if something went bad?

But obviously anything like that would last a generation max before it gets chipped away to nothing and then we're back to where we started.

It is crazy that the capitalist class could keep us all eternally subjugated just by making a few concessions like that, and yet, they'll let the whole system burn down because they can never turn away from muh exponentially increasing quarterly profits

OP, i get you, but also i DO want the US to collapse. the united states as a political and cultural entity is not worth preserving, and for the sake of the people living here and the rest of the world, it's gotta go.

I see no chance of that happening however.

Bernie was the frontrunner heading into Super Tuesday, the left is growing, and neither party is able to field a truly strong candidate anymore. I wouldn't write this off.

more ironic is being named Posadas and posting about preventing the collapse rather than ushering it

I don’t care for whether the U.S collapses or not. But it is a crime to see the economy mismanaged. Because the economy is not just “the line”. But access to medicine, schools, and so much more. Therefore a functional state by our communist standards would do so much for the people.

It's not too surprising that the "patriots" are working to bring that about, fascism is a revolutionary ideology after all, it needs liberal democracy destroyed as much as we do
