is it my turn to testify in the show trial? Liberalsocialist generates enjoyable content for me by consistently getting owned and seems to be mostly a good sport about getting dunked on

I honestly can't wait until they pull a ProudResistor -> ProudSocialist

like legitimately, its going to be a fun day when LiberalSocialist -> LiberalCommunist shows up

I'm never going to forget LiberalSocialist's name specifically because of how they acted around AOC and the Union Strike. Like, it turned out the union she was listening to was completely unrelated to the railway unions and no response, no apology for being such a weirdo jerk in that thread.

And that wasn't even the first/last LiberalSocialist struggle session I've watched.

Its difficult to take someone for arguing in good faith when they in one post argue that there should be virtually no red line for withdrawing support for elected "socialists" and then in another start derisively questioning if people are real socialists because they are unconcerned with mainstream games journalism being threatened by AI.

I don't think it's fair to expect individualized responses to everyone when there's literally hundreds of people replying to you.

Well of course it's low effort. Would you prefer he post high effort responses? He'd still be posting responses today. It's completely unreasonable to expect one person to commit the same amount of man-hours to a conversation that a hundred people are committing.

If you've ever been in the position of posting a spicy/bad take and having a hundred people expecting responses, it's a very stressful situation and there's no way to handle it without people thinking you're an asshole. It's fundamentally impossible to defend a position when the other side gets a hundred words for every one of yours. I'm not saying he handled the situation properly, but it's like, I don't think anyone dunking on him for how he handled it has ever been on the other side of that situation.

also the modlog currently has several of their comments removed from their most recent struggle session for this exact behavior! They keep doing it!

I thought people in here were still talking about the union workers shit lol

Yet again I am ignorant of the drama going on and am happier for it :blob-no-thoughts:

I have no beef with either of these ppl. Ulysses is a chill person, so that's probably why people are willing to listen to them.

Look in my defense it should be easier to tell if LibSoc is the world's most infuriating baby socialist or the most artful and sophisticated wrecker in communist history.

Nobody will ever beat the German COMINTERN guy who kept trying to get the CPC to abandon guerilla warfare in favor of conventional warfare, nearly destroying the CPC and permanently souring relations between them and COMINTERN.

the most artful and sophisticated wrecker in communist history.

I've seen better examples both in personal experience and historical samples, so first ones more likely

They may be called the Palace Guard, the City Guard, or the Patrol. Whatever the name, their purpose in any work of heroic fantasy is identical: it is, round about Chapter Three (or ten minutes into the film) to rush into the room, attack the hero one at a time, and be slaughtered. No one ever asks them if they want to. This book is dedicated to those fine men.

I think it is reasonable to do some light mocking of takes, however I think you should limit yourself to making fun of the current take or the take immediately preceding it, and try to avoid insulting the user, just the take. I am an enlightened centrist on mocking liberal socialist, please mock me

Instead of ten Hexbears writing dunks, soon you'll just need one to edit what the AI writes. Quality might go down but it'll be ten times more efficient so all the major bullies will opt for that, maybe with one other special Hexer for the very important dunks.

I don't know what constitutes harassment, but LiberalSocialist has a struggle session every single week. At some point, people are going to feel a certain way about you.

In their own posts it's fair game imo, but I don't think it needs to spread beyond that (this post isn't negative so I'll let it slide)

Literally every thread I see by them, half the comments are nothing to do with the topic and just mocking them

But this is perfectly acceptable and normal, apparently

I'm not 100% sure if this is a callout towards LiberalSocialist or a callout toward the people who are harassing them, but all the vitriol directed their way really isn't cool. Maybe I missed something but it seems like they're here in good faith.

But we already have companies that just steal content and remix it and blast it into SEO pages full of ads for gaming.

Plus game companies would rather just write information and hand it off to low wage people to claim as their own outside views.

The reality is so much worse than AI.

I'm more interested in what gaming will look like than gaming journalism with AI tbh.

If I can ask a ChatGPT-like program to make a video game mixing two other games and it comes off reasonably well that is going to be pretty wild.

Super Mario Kart + Warhammer 40k please.
