Obviously you should only want good things for somebody if you personally would immediately materially gain from it. It's both. They believe we ought to want the extermination of people who don’t support us and they also believe we're stupid because we clearly don't want the extermination of people who don't support us. As far as they're concerned we are their natural enemies and too stupid to realize it, and so they're mocking us for not killing them.

I know it's rhetorical but yeah. They (not so) secretly want to kill LGBTQ, or at least view them as inferior. It's just another indicator of weakness, to them, that LGBTQ protestors and allies don't abuse their position in the West to demand reigning death on people living in places the West has previously done nothing but reign death upon or destabilize, while fostering the least palatable organized resistance they could find.
