Pooh is now public domain. Look at how they massacred my boy.
Disney is secretly funding this as an example of why Mickey can't be made Public Domain.
Of course America would choose to make murder porn and not the obvious parody plot with “Winnie the Pooh.”
An Oceans Eleven type heist film about stealing honey.
the obvious parody plot with “Winnie the Pooh.”
I thought you were gonna go for :PIGLETPOOPBALLS:.
Jagged Edge Productions is a pretty on the nose name for what they're producing
What's interesting is that this Pooh clearly resembles the Disney version more than the Milne version.
So why are horror movies incredibly horny anyway? Is it some christian panic about teens fucking or what?
Short answer kinda, yes
Long answer horror has always evoked punishment for or relishing in sublimated cultural taboos. Often there has to be a breaking of a pillar, a sin, by the characters that earns their suffering. Or at least thrusts them into the conflict.
Without any sort of original sin, movies tend to fall into the “feel bad” realm where bad shit is happening because… bad shit happens.
The interesting case is when you look at international horror. The punishment is always similar, fear and violence, but the cause varies by regional, cultural and historical backgrounds.
Can't wait for a sequel to come out and kick-start this new cinematic universe! My bet is it'll be about a bunch of kids brutally murdering Barney the dinosaur
