People from other countries scared of alt right rising there due to Trump

lmao I live in one of those countries and our fascists are 100% home grown, thank you very much. Amerikkkan exceptionalism at its absolute worst, we've had this shit here way before Trump was anything more than a weirdo celebrity

Also Bidens policy is already brutalizing leftists lol

These people can never fail. Only the left can fail by not supporting Genocide Joe, who demands law and order as state thugs beat up the protestors. Every time his polls slip, he acts more like Trump. Trump supporters will never support him and I will never support someone that tries to make them happy.

And the wild thing remains - it's always our fault. Never the Dems for being wildly unpopular. Never dem voters for failing to mobilize their own people. And never ever anyone's fault for failing to do anything to mobilize the vast number of American non voters. And, of course, it's never the gop's fault.

      It's us. It's always us.

I’ve had this conversation with my SO. Technically speaking the best move for me as a white male would be to support Trump. Instead I vote for Democrats hoping for positive changes for all people. For most of my life I’ve thought I was “far left” for American standards, but since I’ve joined portions of Lemmy and Reddit you’d think I was a fucking Republican.

Certain portions of the left would rather spit in their own eye for unrealistic principles, even if it means that a worse alternative is the result.

Its so sad and pathetic they don't realize what is actualy best for them. "Technicaly" Trump is better for you? White males did not get better working conditions, healthcare, education yadayada under Trump. In fact he and everyone on the right loathe all that. Yet you as a white male is destined to being a Mcburger joint worker under Trump. Lynching minorities is not going to make you magically earn $50 an hour watching TV on your couch playing on your 360 as if the year was 2006.

These fucking idiots don't realize that part of being leftist, even if you want to be extremely utilitarian is recognizing policies that benefit a general population will inherently benefit you. By persecuting minorities all that ensures is YOU get a higher chance of being part of the lower "class".

Zero solidarity, they ultimately view it as a zero sum game where they want to be on the winning side, and the only difference between them and their sworn internal enemies is that they're the smart boys and girls who know enough to feel bad about the position of power they have.

It's even more fucked up when you point out that obama-drone only "evolved" on gay marriage in like 2015 after the supreme court and public opinion was already there when it comes to normalizing gay people. They had already kicked off the ukraine shit before suddenly pretending america is a bastion/protector for gay people for propaganda purposes. Coincidence? probably, but easy enough to lean into as a wedge issue.

People of other countries scared of trump

Biden is bombing yemen, escalating the Strait Crisis, worsen the situation in Korea to the point both govs dont want reunification anymore, and is still continuing the blockade of cuba, trump will just continue biden's policy

Ukraine is currently losing to Russia and if biden wins they will still continue to lose

and for palestinians Biden is already sending 1 billion dollars to Isntreal so trump will do the same he just wont lie about trying to negotiate a cease fire.

Libs will say anything and support genocide just so people vote for their favorite fascist

yea during trump's presidency it was the 2018 USA-DPRK summit that led to a De-escalation between both korean govs and the USA, which led to a summit between both koreas and then another USA-DPRK one in vietnam 2019, and then one with all 3 in the DMZ later that year

the talks didnt led to much, i think most santions stood in place, the DPRK said later that trump only did them as a political move, but if we believe what Moon Chung-in who was the Special Advisor for the then president of the ROK the talks mostly failed due to John Bolton and allies that wanted a hard disarmament followin the libyan model which the DPRK diplomats where fully against

Yeah when Trump wins, anyone left of MTG will be treated like the Palestinians are treated now. You guys don’t understand this year is the endgame for the US. You guys will too be busy fleeing from Trump’s Schutzstaffel to even think for a second about Gaza. It’s easy: If Trump wins, the world will fall into total chaos and Gaza will be everywhere, nobody will care about them anymore. If Biden wins, we’ll still have at least an opportunity to improve their situation.

There is absolutely no way they believe this, is there? Liberals have become 2008 era conservatives who thought Obama would put them in FEMA camps. The federal government is far too lazy and inept to do anything like that domestically. Also have these liberals not seen the police brutality on college campuses over the past few weeks? The American SS is already here, it's the NYPD.

Not to mention how dismissive this is of Palestinians. They're being carpet bombed right now. Imagine an American saying we're worried of the same thing happening to us. It's ludicrous.

And if liberals truly worry about this, that Trump will create apartheid and begin slaughtering people domestically en masse (more than people already are killed through poverty and police brutality). The response shouldn't be to vote for Biden, it should be a call to dismantle the entire American state apparatus because it shouldn't exist

There is absolutely no way they believe this, is there?

If they believed it was true, then they should be organizing insurgents and guerillas to fight the feds like resistance fighters in countries occupied by germany in WW2. The fact that they clearly have no actual resistance plan means they either don't believe that Trump is as bad as they claim or they plan on doing nothing as he sets up death camps, much like how they're not doing anything about the camps on the Mexican border right now

do they just expect democrats to win every single time? no such thing has ever happened in history and if it does then they get a one-party state.

and their precious "democracy" (their conception of it) is destroyed anyways.

Outside of serious geopolitical circles, the left is the only group cognizant enough to realize how far US manufacturing and military power has fallen. So many people see our insane military budget and assume that it means our military is that much better than the next guy's. They're not thinking that the same decay that's been happening to everything else has hit the army too.

I think it's honestly the case that libs think Americans have democracy because they can cast a vote. The content is irrelevant. You can go to a polling place and vote this democracy. Pay no heed to literally anything else.

Of course only in America does that count. China is evil compoudlist even though they can cast ballots.
