I still can’t get in my head how Christianity became cool in conservative circles. Just the lamest form of oppression.
Things my brain has viscerally associated with Christianity ever since I was a child:
-Boring saccharine 90s shit
-Donation sales that only sell mismatched too-large suits and denim jackets
-The feeling of having eaten too much ham on a hot day
-Feeling like you've been left at your weird aunt's house to follow her arcane rules for an afternoon
-Carpeted basements that are just...too quiet
I'm sure he actually believes this shit, but hot dog that sounds like a good grift. Get that Koch money in a place where the exchange rate makes it worth more, and none of your friends are likely to follow American politics in enough depth to know what you're up to, so you don't even have to be embarrassed about it.
