Meh, voting for PSL is pretty much the same as green on a presidential ticket. I’m voting for la riva cause she’s the most radical and she’s on the ballot in my state but green/peace and freedom for president is a protest vote and that’s it.

Look, I'm just trying to vote in such a way that maximizes the number of people who are mad at me.

Real talk tho anyone that's voting Green is used to ignoring people screaming at them and vote shaming and shit. Can you maybe chill?

Materialism and praxis before Ideological purity. I’m using the Green Party to show my rad lib friends that there is another way forward beyond the normal party system. Which will hopefully then turn into them realizing the entire bourgeoise democracy system is a sham.

So far it’s working. Had my chud cousin ask for book and podcast recommendations to understand “my side of the story”

No fucking shit Sherlock. But you can’t spring that shit on someone brand new to questioning the system who is still frightful of Marx and the term socialism.

Know. Your. Fucking. Audience. And base your actions on that.

Pure ideology purity In the wrong context does NOTHING to broaden the movement and only succeeds in making yourself look like a jack ass.

Again, these are libs, centrists, and several former and current chuds who are VERY sensitive to the word socialism. Sending them straight to an org called the Democratic Socialists would be The actual dead end. I’m trying to detox an entire lifetime of Southern heritage and American history about evil socialism.

Again know your fucking audience and work from there. You can disagree in what I’m doing but it’s working they are fucking giving my ideas an actual thought when last year they thought I was a crazy radical.

That's even worse, lol. They'll think you're trying to get them to join a terrorist cell or some shit.

You don't have to go slow, but you do have to start slow. After you get them questioning their basis assumptions about politics, you can hit them with much harder stuff.

...and that’s like trying to get someone off beer by combing them to do LSD. These aren’t people ready for theory. They still have faith in the system. I’m not ruining the progress I’ve made by throwing them the hard shit yet.

Ah yes because “knowing when to give The people just awakening to the system being broken and this not ruining it by pulling the trigger too fast” is the same as fucking converting them to religion.

Dude you sound like the tankies on the reddit sun who flipped shit at anyone who volunteered with the DSA because “It’s succdem shit” I’d love to give them Marx and Lenin and let them go to town but Southern chuds who have never questioned the world till literally now Aren’t gonna be down for that. Know your fucking audience. Or keep doing purity tests and assuming every situation is the same I guess.

Are there any green parties globally that are explicitly anti-capitalist at this point? In Australia our Green Party used to have some pretty radical elements but they’ve been purged and now the party basically thinks a carbon tax is the limit of imagination.
