Yep, if you purchase a firearm in the US you need to fill out a document. One of the items on it is a question/you affirming that you do not smoke marijuana, with clarification that owning a firearm while using pot is a felony
That is all it is though, and the question is specific to just weed. Nothing about any other controlled substances lol
Manufacturing my own suppressor with a 3D printer, expoy resin, and reinforced tape is a felony too but that's not stopping me.

You probably were buying them from a shitty company, but it might also be your metabolism or what you ate. I have a bottle of oil and a disposable pen, both work for me. If you are used to smoking really strong weed all the time, it won't get you as high most likely.

It does work differently for people and I'm sure not at all for some but fwiw it took me 11 times smoking weed before I got high at all and then way too high every time since (I smoke weed every day and it FUCKING SUCKS)

Nope it's totally logical, DEA criminalizes dispensaries. It's always there, that's the point of a largely apparently unenforced regulation. Those in power get to selectively fuck over the people they don't like and ignore the people they do like, who are all doing the same thing.
Most states have people filling out legal documents during firearm transfers, and of course while getting NFA licensing, where they're going to represent themselves as not consuming cannabis.
