It's my "comfort food" show even though it has lots of cringe shit. It's fun to watch it and count how many times have they gotten away with just giving a patient a secret tumor and paraneoplastic syndrome. which is funny because the meme is that it's always lupus, but it's never lupus, it's the other autoinmune-ish disease that comes with cancer. The thing that aged the worst wasn't house being a reddit-brained savant, it's the drug thing.

how did his drug addiction age poorly?
it's not HIS drug addiction that aged poorly, but how drug use is portrayed. sometimes it's fine but most of the time it's some sort of moral failing. sometimes foreman or chase are on the wrong side for blatantly dehumanizing their drug or alcohol abusing patients, but sometimes they aren't and drug abuse was the key to the case, and house gets to do an epic moral beatdown. sometimes he actually emphathizes through his own drug addiction. you can obviously tell this show has had a number of script writers.
There was an episode where a patient came from Cuba and House told his team to ignore all possible diagnosis that could be made using the methods available in Cuba since Cuban medicine is so good they would've figured it out if they could have.
So House is a tankie fascist, just like Bernie Sanders when he praised Cuban healthcare
Edit: more seriously, House is a dick but he usually takes the side of people against institutions. Might be something there.
The show has a somewhat left slant, it's pretty anti-cop, the first cop portrayed lived in a literal pigstill and was selling infected weed. Foreman fucking hates cops with a passion, and House allows him to indulge on it. He likes to fuck with insurance companies, he also completely fucked over his billionaire boss by publically shitting all over a renewed patent. If I was in charge of rebooting House, I would make him the DSA male manipulator meme.

Hmm, didnt know this. Might check it out.
Remember how he would have his lackies just break and enter into their patient's houses to snoop around for clues?
Hey now, that's not fair!
Sometimes he'd break into the houses himself!!
“You ever write a history so deep you found Apgar scores? On a 90-year-old?”
Show went on way too long. Also it was kind of confusing because early on it was a lot more procedural where every ep was like a Medical Mystery of the Week, but then you'd catch an EP in like season six and like half the show is serial drama stuff and be like "who's that lady? Is he friends with Wilson or not? Why should I care about this?"
I'm sure he would just seem like an edgy asshole now instead of a super cool sigma male genius like he did back then, though.

yeah, from season 4 or 5 onwards it becomes increasingly stupid like that
I wanted a procedural medical mystery starring a wise-ass, not a stupid soap opera where 90% of the air time is filled up trying to be as titillating and talk about sex as much as possible.
Very funny when he tells his doctors to break into a parent's house.
The answer is yes
It was one of the better Sherlock Holmes interpretations but also it’s hella cringe.
You have to like it
Or your are a ableist
Sorry those are the rules
I watched it and liked it at the time, but I'm pretty sure it's very cringe
depends on whether he's doing non-consensual experimental medicine on randos or if he's actively being the subject of ableism.
Based when he went up against that cop those episodes
