MFers haven't even stumbled across the toast sandwich or flagrant misuse of beans yet, and they think Oscar Mayer and Kraft singles on Wonderbread is suffering

Misuse of beans? I'm sure most westerners will find the [delicious] use of beans in desserts to be flagrant beanabuse.

Me and red bean paste have hated each other ever since that one time I saw a delicious-looking bun in the shop window. It was not chocolate. 🤬

Yeah well at least you didn't do a 'hold on that's not avocado' with the wasabi paste. That took years to get over.

China: plentiful good tasting food at low prices

America: overpriced processed shit for inflated prices

    Wow China keeps losing.

It is a handful of oatmeal mixed with low-fat yoghurt, with half an apple

This is a pretty standard lunch for me. Shit's good and gets me my work poop in. Yes I'm lactose intolerant. Yes I'm :lmayo:

Cleans me out. But yeah I do need to start getting some. Are they purely over the counter or can you get a prescription? I ask cause I'm lazy as fuck and just want insurance to cover it.

They're widely available without a prescription; Lactaid is a common brand that you can usually find in grocery stores. You just pop a tablet immediately before eating/drinking something with dairy in it; two if you're really going to town on a whole pint of ice cream or something.

They degrade very quickly if kept anywhere but a stable 77 degree environment. They don't give any indication they've gone off other than intestinal cramps after you've already eaten the dairy. Buy small quantities.

they're OTC, I get them in bulk in like 6 bottles in a pack on amazon. Don't get the boxes with the sachets unless you prefer them for travel or something, it gets really tedious opening individual packets up for every pill

Lol western news is really obsessed with this story lol. It’s a bit funny whenever some white guy goes on a racist tirade because

    1. They don’t even believe that Chinese people can see their posts, so essentially it’s just virtue signaling
    2. Most Chinese people don’t even notice and have probably moved on to another trend already

Yakub gave his creations no taste buds and a weakness to spices. It is known.

The first black man and woman were banished after eating the forbidden unseasoned chicken. From there on, their descendants were stripped of melanin and taste buds. Tragic

This story is getting sensationalized a lot, and it's focusing on the negative reactions, but there's also Chinese people praising the food for being compatible with the 躺平 (lying flat) lifestyle.

Essentially, many Chinese folks like how low effort this food is.

It's actually similar to the anti-work movement in the West.

The more extreme version that's catching on is 摆烂 (let it rot). It's more like blackpilled nihilism or hikkikomori with people just trying to withdraw from society all together.

It was the government pushing that. After all, the health authorities would never lie, right? Theirs is a sacred mission, they would never spread misinformation for the profit of billion dollar corporations! You crazy conspiracy theorists...

The trend has also been pushed along by a viral video of a woman in Switzerland on a train eating a bag of lettuce with ham and a packet of mustard.

It's some grandmother who had some lettuce in her bag and was hungry. I've broken off bread from a full loaf because I'm hungry after shopping, doesn't mean I eat plain bread every day jeez.
