I am so not the right person to be trying to dissect Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl honestly. Aside from not having the historical context properly, I'm also way too fucking autistic to be able to tell how many layers of disconnected irony the book's protagonist is speaking on at any given time. It's a book I understand less about as I read, not more. I really like that everything it has to say about gender is subtextual, (and metatextual) but I can't really see intelligently through that lens, Idk. My brain is fucking paste rn.
