The current libertarian candidate has been going on right wing podcasts to defend drag queen story hours and trans issues lol

Well trans people are human but kids aren't human (unless you're a communist) so therefore they can't be trans and certainly don't get human rights, so it checks out

2028 is going to be Caleb Maupin on the dems and Hans Kristian Graebener on the GOP, isn't it?

That actually tracks, democrats as a whole tend to be a lot less progressive on social issues than fox news gives them credit for. A lot of libertarians are just embarrassed republicans, but the true believers just want the government to leave people the fuck alone.

The Democrats are just addicted to losing elections. They will adopt any policy or platform under the sun as long as it increases their odds of experiencing the sweet high of another loss

I feel like this is a stance taken in order to pander to a base that doesn't really exist. I don't really know how common surgeries even are for trans kids; I suspect it's quite uncommon and at the discretion of the surgeon/doctor.

Pretty sure most are top surgery. So an unnecessary procedure if cisciety let trans kids go through puberty at the same time as their cis peers. Cissexism. 🥰

In the rare event someone is getting bottom surgery before 18: good! Cis kids get their genitals before they turn 0.

The fact of the matter is running on anti-trans issues is a proven loser for Republicans, but since the sliver of wealthy older Dems who steer the party don't really understand, and are even at times weirded out by trans people, they project their discomfort onto the Republicans, and say that being too pro-trans or woke is a stance that will alienate general voters. This is their socially acceptable way of telegraphing that they themselves are swayed by the Republican anti-trans panic, and personally wish to halt Democrats' pushes for trans rights.

    On Chase Oliver's Wikipedia page:

Oliver supports removing regulatory barriers that prevent people and organizations from feeding homeless people.

When even the Libertarian candidate supports feeding homeless people, while "tHe MoSt PrOgReSsIvE pReSiDeNt In HiStOrY" is actively helping to criminalize their existence. agony-deep
