Did you mean that in like an evolutionary/instinct sense? And like mentioned above, did you mean to use common instead of normal?

I mean that it is normal in whatever sense that it is normal to be attracted to the idea of rape. I really don't care to argue about the definition of "normal" since that does not sound like a productive or interesting use of time whatsoever.

Sure, common is another word you could use to get across the same point.

I get what you mean. I remember watching a rape scene in a movie when I was younger and getting stupidly aroused. I felt such shame, like I was a monster. Eventually met this girl who opened me up to roleplay, and I figured out my sweet spot.

Back to the OP, I wonder how hard that must be if someone has an age fetish, for their partner to roleplay.

The thing is, it seems to me like it's also extremely common to do that kind of roleplay. dd/lg stuff (which frankly grosses me out) is practically mainstream. Some people don't even ask before springing that on you, like I've literally had girls call me "daddy" and I'm still a virgin! I don't really know how to interpret that aside from feeling that an absolutely massive number of people enjoy roleplaying incest between a child and their parent. Unless I'm missing something massive about that

parents often call each other by the nomenclature their children are expected to use, so as not to confuse young children. young girl then grows up having heard her mother refer to her father as daddy. her parents had loving relationship, she wants loving relationship, she feels good refering to significant other as daddy, not because of the illicit relationship implications, but because of the standard set for what a loving relationship looks like.

              or something

                Maybe. I don't know.

I think part of it is just memetic, another is knowledge that it's somewhat taboo and is therefore exciting to boring or repressed people.

That's fair, I hadn't thought of it that way. I'm sure there is an element of that to it, but I don't think that's the full story.

Of course it's not a perfect cutoff where girls suddenly become attractive on their 18th birthday.

However, the second you describe someone you're attracted to as a Child, and remain attracted to them, something is wrong.

for the sake of argument, how do you feel about the exceedingly common attraction to the idea of rape?

I think you don't need consent to fuck a figment of your imagination. If you start taking things further, it gets problematic. When you get to "I want to rape that girl", you've got a problem.

So, fantasising about a small woman with youthful features is fine. Start thinking of that idea as an actual child, and problems arise. If you get horny seeing children, see a psychiatrist.

Sure, feeling a desire to rape a specific real person is a pretty good line to draw and say, "you're going too far." But that would suggest that there's nothing ethically wrong with consuming and enjoying media depicting rape, as long as there are no real people involved in it, even if the fictional characters involved are children. Is that consistent with your views?
