      Red + green = brown. This would probably look like shit unless they layer it and you don't mix. But also like... not a flavour pairing I would rate in the first instance.

        Nooope it sucks, matcha didn't have to be a latte.

        It's just green milk tea, why the hell would anyone call that a latte? Latte should have coffee in them.

          I've been caught out on this before - latte just means milk. So matcha latte is matcha and milk. Cafe latte is coffee and milk. Outside Italy, the convention is to drop the 'cafe' because we understand it to mean coffee by context (and that in non-Italian speaking areas it's not as likely to be confused with ordering a cup of milk).

          So that's one layer, the next wrinkle is that at least where I live, cafes often can alter drinks to add an express shot, and they call these 'dirty' e.g. a 'dirty chai latte' is a chai with milk and coffee. If it isn't listed as a separate item on the menu, people will ask 'Can I make xxx dirty?'
