Mr Prager, please hand in your resignation

Seriously though, the content is good. This is the type of stuff that would appeal to my former chud self.

Especially that last line: "We're right to be skeptical of the people that lead us. They don't work for you, or for me.. but it's not because it's not because government is big, it's because it's bought"

That concept is the single idea that got me from being a "libertarian" to on the path to leftism. How I thought about it in my own mind was "Government isn't bad, bad government is bad". Very simple, but easy to grasp and point to examples of functioning governments. This alone won't set somebody on a path to leftism, but it can break them out of being a libertarian at least.

It's fairly common for people to argue that the military is one of the few essential roles of government. "The government should protect us from invasion and then stay out of the way" is a pretty coherent philosophy even if it would be a disaster in practice. I'm guessing that's why she didn't even bother with it.

Good point. The 5 minute format comes with compromises i guess, it would have taken too long to tackle that argument

The military is definitely too big a can of worms in this video. You can go into how the govt does not actually defend America but rather enforces American market supremacy and topples leftist governments, but it would take a whole lot more deprogramming to not say "yeah that's good."

this isn't about pointing out republican hypocrisy, it's about refuting their rhetoric

Sorry, comrade you can't grill on the balcony of your apartment, it's a fire hazard. Besides why the fuck are you trying to grill in winter on the balcony of your apartment? Just wait until summer you can grill at your dacha during your paid summer vacation all you want.

Never would have thought in 2019 that the Gravel campaign would have turned into this.

You can call me a lib for throwing him a few dollars, but I don't regret it.

This is a pretty good counter to PragerU and I really hope it succeeds. The guest list is pretty solid for entry leftism too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvI68YO7dVY They managed to get people like Cornel West, Richard Wolff and Zizek.

Also do they plan on going on boomer-infested facebook?

They are on FB right now, but only 22k followers. Which is a drop in the bucket. But they gotta start somewhere. I have very mixed feelings about the gravel teens, but I do believe this type of thing is the step into the right direction to counter the insane amount of astroturfing the right has been doing for years now. Apparently PragerU has been seen by 1 in 3 people on facebook, so their reach is massive. Anything that tries to counter that shit is good in my book.

It's pretty funny to have these concepts explained like I'm 10. but ya know, these types of the videos for the right are even more elementary so it's good to dumb it down a bit.
