my-hero voluntarily began the great work of demolishing his once-unassailable PR by getting addicted to social media and showing his ass over and over again. Critical support for Twitter for facilitating that process.

I wish it was more apparent and obvious to more people that when someone is the richest man in the world and so many of his offspring want nothing to do with him the moment they find a way out, family luxury and inheritance be damned, that's a massive fucking indicator of what a monster he is and always was.

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: “Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed: And on the pedestal these words appear: ‘My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!’ Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away. Then I said EPICALLY MEMED, ELO~N so-true

The neoliberal era will leave disproportionately few physical ruins due to the focus on cost-engineered infrastructure, designed to fail. Fittingly, our garbage will become among the best-preserved relics of our time. This happens eventually to all societies, but it will happen on a much faster time scale for ours thanks to our disposable culture.

Being trans is not a sexuality and given the long-debunked psychiatric tradition of viewing transness as a sexual pathology, it's extremely problematic to imply otherwise. Musk has afaik never commented on her sexual orientation, it's always been about her gender identity.

"Hey, Elong actually thinks being trans is some sort of being extra pervy gay" really isn't a great comeback to this. What you describe is exactly what i was complaining about - ascribing a male sexual orientation to a trans woman to portray her as a sexually deviant man. That's not a problem with her sexuality, which he might not even know when he has to make up stuff like this, it's a textbook case of transphobia and should be called out like this to not reproduce his transphobic slander. SorosFootSoldier had the decency to listen and correct the mistake instead of lecturing me about the fine print of Elon's ramblings like a redditor.

I can't believe i actually have to have this converation in 2024, on hexbear, on the fucking trans comm.

Edit: To clarify this and because i need to educate you for your desperately needed self crit instead of just calling you out, the point i was making is that there is a century-long psychiatric history of abusing assumptions about our sexuality to deny our identities and gatekeep gender affirming care and core parts of socially and legally transitioning. This works independently of our actual sexualities, which are never recognized, but always inverted. When we are straight, we are belittled as gay men in denial who merely want to escape being gay by becoming a woman. When we are lesbian, we get demonized as predatory fetishists who have transitioning as some kind of auto-erotic kink. When we are bi or pan, we are supposed to be either extra confused gays in denial or extra fetishistic predators. When we are ace, we are assumed to be repressing one of the former things. It's NEVER about sexuality, it's about making up excuses to deny trans people even exist. Every transphobe who speculates or outright makes shit up about a trans person's sexuality is engaging not in a conversation about that person's sexuality, but is making a bad faith argument to be transphobic, and that needs to be described as such to refute and deconstruct these narratives.

I did not agree with my-hero false identification with Vivian whatsoever, but I did word it badly. It wasn't the "campy" part that was wrong, it was the entire thing.
