It was always weird to me how people took classic BMF posting. Maybe I'm just too situationism-pilled, but I largely found myself understanding/agreeing with the points they were hitting. Very distinctive rhetorical style, but not at all the incoherent foaming implied in most off handed mentions of their corpus.

Yeah. I felt like BMF was esoteric and hard to parse but could after a re read (or ten, am adult baebee). I think there was like two or three that I didn't want to be bothered with and or had no frame of reference and couldn't understand
BMF would usually include at least one link and assume the reader engaged with the source. This filters a lot of people.
I'm old enough to know and be related to some Gen X fucks only slightly older than me and they're like Animorph covers turning into grill-obsessed "peaked when MTV was relevant" junior boomers.
I think it all happened some months before you created your account back in 2021 lol. The guy wanted to debate some Hexbear user on twitch but then we all went there and begun spamming him with "Can't Corner the Dorner" memes since this guy was like very anti-change and hated BLM.

What was the main reasoning of the Chapo vs hexbear naming debacle? To get away from the pod or to not meme el Chapo and glorify drugs? I was lurking then but more focused on the funnis than paying attention to drama...
Pretty sure it was this one. I will never forget that one user said we should have renamed the website to Lib dot Rehab. I think at the time most people kinda tired of the podcast and the people that didn't even knew there was a podcast were confused by the website name.

Pretty sure Hexbear always was the Chapochat Mascot. And yeah, it's pretty funny theres a cyptocoin with this name. Once a youtuber came here, I think it was internet etiquette guy (Internet Comment Etiquette with Erik, I believe) and he basically joked saying that we were trying to sell him cypto.
