I think you're lumping in Rick and Morty fans in with everyone else, in my experience they tend not to care for Marvel or Potter much, and only care for the OG Star Treks.

The Old Republic MMORPG used to reek of "rakghoul" events and such space zombies barfing over everyone as part of rather hyped events in that game that made it insufferable for a while.
