Oh let me guess they've found that girls also play Cammy in Street V because she's overpowered and the twisted that info to fit their narrative

I don't even follow the fighting game community and I was like "It's Cammy, isn't it?" lol

    1. You can probably count on one hand how many female characters in fighting games there are who AREN'T highly sexualized.
    2. A lot of people enjoy a character's playstyle irrespective of their aesthetic design and/or only like playing them because they're top tier. Not me mind you: I main Jamie in SF6 both because Drunken Fist is cool as shit and also cause he's a complete Sex pot...but not everybody is a character loyalist.

Female characters tend to get a fast, precise move set in fighting games that emphasizes building combos and getting lots of smaller hits rather than getting a small handful of big hits. So this could just be a reflection of gameplay preference.

And then there are the twinks that are always top tier for some reason (Marth, Joker, etc)

I don't play fighting games, I know nothing about them, but when I play them I like to pick characters like Gun Jack, Zangief, Ganondorf or Paul (whatever that johnny bravo dude from tekken is called) or kirby
What does this say about me?

I tend to gravitate towards female grapplers like R.Mika (my favorite fighting game main of all time)

I chose Mario on Mario Kart. That means my idealized body image is a stout man with a comically Italian mustache.

Player characters with exaggerated sexuality doesn’t mean much in and of itself. Just as a boy might choose the super macho character with impossibly huge muscles and a square jaw, so too might a girl choose the hyper feminine character that she thinks is cute.

In those egregious games where the character is poorly masked soft porn, I doubt many girls would pick the character

      :nerd: mario is highly sexualized

edit: Clarifying - didn't mean to imply you're being the nerd, but like that I'm correcting you and I'm being an obnoxious nerd

it's a comical way of missing the point. everyone likes sexy characters. everyone likes to play sexy characters. not everyone is an OCD coomer who can only play games as a means of acquiring soft porn.,

I don't even have to read this article to know it's bullshit. To this day badass women are way cooler than whatever sexualized trash the chuds want.

What's the fighting game? In almost all of them, every single female character is highly sexualized, and it's the male ones who mostly aren't. It could be that the women preferred to play as women.
