As someone who knows a lot of party libs, they absolutely love him. He's very eloquent and keeps trying to reach across the aisle by going on Fox. A lot of people really expect him to be the next Obama from speaking skills alone.
God my mom is one of these. She adores him because "He's very articulate and well-educated." Zero analysis of his actual policies or his effectiveness.
