A language empowering everyone to build reliable and efficient software.
from rust-lang.org
Rust by itself is a great language, but what really makes it shine are its many great crates. The ecosystem around rust is one of the best there is, and its documentation is practically unrivalled. So lets look at some of those crates!
actix-web
Actix-web is an amazing web server framework for rust. It's modular, easy to use, intuitive and fast. It's also what lemmy is built on! So when you use this very site, you are using something build with actix!
Bevy
Bevy is a code first game engine for rust, based on the ECS paradigm. It's incredibly refreshing and different from most other engines. It is also unbelievably modular, in fact, just about every part of the engine cam be removed or added as you please! If you are every looking for something simple to play around, try bevy!
Tokio
The backbone of most asynchronous rust. It provides everything needed to build reliable, fast web applications!
Serde
Serde is the go-to library for serialization and deserialisation in rust. Its derive macros make it a breeze to use, and there are countless crates supporting various formats with Serde!
SQLx
SQLx is an amazingly simple sql handling crate. It is both feature rich and yet simple, and just a joy to use!
Reqwest
A neat little crate for sending http(s) requests! It's also used in Lemmy, and just about anywhere else where someone needs to do get some thing from an http(s) endpoint!
And this is far from all! Rust is a lovely language, with an even more amazing ecosystem!
Have an amazing week, everyone!

gang what does anxiety disorder with cluster b and c traits mean?
spoiler
Cluster B is typified by things like bipolar or borderline personality disorder. Everyone is a little unpredictable but cluster B traits can make people VERY volatile and unpredictable. It can be from emotional lability because someone with bipolar depression can have that bipolar causd swings (even rapid swings or mixed episodes) or because the person with cluster b traits feels emotions VERY intensely that don't really go away like in borderline personality disorder. There also tends to be a lot more splitting/black and white thinking, as in "everyone and everything can be neatly separated into good or bad." A classic feature of borderline personality disorder is having a Favorite Person, someone you think can do nothing wrong, who you might obsess over and ruminate on, someone who might not know you but who you fear will abandon you. And so on. Cluster C is more the anxiety zone. I have OCD which is in cluster C. Sometimes it includes people who are very inept socially.
Cluster A, if you were curious even though you didn't mention it applied to you, is stuff like schizophrenia or paranoia - disordered thinking.
spoiler
i suppose it would mean an anxiety disorder that has elements of erratic behavior. cluster c already includes anxiety disorders so i don't know how it could have cluster c traits.
thank you!!
Aren't those "personality disorders"?
I'm assuming from the quotes you don't like that term, can I ask why? For context I have avpd, and if nothing else that collection of traits causes me a lot of struggles.
yeah i just don't know what i did to get them :{
Oh, honey, they aren't your fault. Usually when we see people with this stuff you also see something traumatic in their childhood. But it can also just happen and we don't know why it does. Psychology is a very new field of medicine, maybe 60 or 70 years old including the medicines we use.
