Some of mine are: reading 52 books, going for a walk at least once a week, getting a new piercing, and doing my budgeting every week instead of waiting multiple weeks, etc etc
What's everyone else's? Maybe comrades with similar goals can be accountability buddies
I have about 25 goals in total, including but not limited to:
- Get better about COVID mitigation
- Go vegan
- Switch to Linux
- Shoot a gun at least once
- Reach a few milestones with my conlangs
- Reach at least a breakthrough level in Norwegian Sign Language, Esperanto, and Toki Pona
- Create a Toki Pona room on Hextube where nimi autocorrect to sitelen pona using the emoji system
- Turn the Zionist flag I got for Christmas into a Palestinian flag
Intrigued at someone giving you an Israeli flag as a Christmas present
What's your most developed conlang called?
To cut a long story short, I collect world flags.
My most developed conlang is called Manjatian.
There are some cool quirks, but I don't know if I can explain them very well, and several of the quirks I'm thinking of basically ditching because they're just too tedious to use in practice.
I've coined a few basic commie terms, but there's still a lot of holes. The terms I've coined include sotangogestkrungiya (abbrev. STOKiya) for "commodity fetishism", zuveyniya for "communism" as in the mode of production, and zuveynkrungiya for "communism" as in the political ideology, among several others.
Trans my gender more, maybe start HRT (I had a stupid hallmark ass movie christmas involving reconnecting with my also non binary formally somewhat estranged sibling, which was nice and put things in perspective but also a whole thing)
Stick to the bare minium government recommendations on alcohol. No more than 10 standards a week, no more than 4 in a setting etc. Found I've been drinking more when stressed.
Engage in the local queer Bdsm scene where I've moved. Maybe attend events with my partner. Would really like to do some modelling for someone else. Not sure how feasible that is but could put feelers out there.
I'm hoping to upgrade my rower and use my time to exercise slightly less but better. Some months I've been doing 7hrs a week of bike or rower. I want to get that to just 5hrs of rowing at a regular time.
Read more. I'm hoping if I get my exercise in during the morning I'll have more time for reading.
- Consistent bass practice schedule. On the 30th and 31st, I already pushed myself super fucking hard. I practiced 6 hours on the 30th (no joke) and 2 hours on the 31st. It was really just an extreme "test," but I'm probably gonna start with 1 hour and try to build up a longer duration of practice with time.
- A stable job... 🤞🏿
- Some more piercings and tatts hopefully
- Move further into androgyny
- Continue the whole "listen to at least one album (one LP or two EPs) I've never heard before every single day" thing. I didn't miss a single day when I started on January 1st, 2024.
- Further my relationship with my dear 💚💚💚
I'd really like to expand our trans housing stuff further its chock full rn
Pffft look at all these serious resolutions. I'm going to get into anime.
Hopefully I enjoy it I can be quite the anime hater at times...
Recommend starting with Samurai Champloo if you haven't watched it already.
It was my first anime as an adult that helped me ease into it. Rewatching it now.
Here's my list, in no particular order and I'd be thrilled if I even achieve just one:
-
Finally get a full-time job again and move out of my parents (and far away from my hometown) for good.
-
Get skilled in something that isn't vidya or media consumption. (It could be learning an instrument, actually figuring out some technology skills, art, just anything)
-
Stop seeing life like a piece of media and also stop mourning my childhood essentially. It's over. Time to make the most of adulthood.
-
Get some IRL friends and try to be a normal 20-something for once.
-
This is embarrassing to admit, but still important: I want to improve my hygiene: Have a skincare routine, actually learn how to take care of myself and take care of my hair and teeth before anything expensive catches up to me. Autism is impacting my quality of life, but I do at least have the free will to overcome my psychic blockages for lack of a better term.

I always recommend people to learn playing the guitar. It's relatively cheap, you just need to make one investment in the beginning. You can learn it by yourself using the resources from the internet or you can take a few lessons in the beginning. Learning to play it is relatively easy, you can make a lot of progress in just 2-3 months. Most of pop music is simple so you just need to learn some basic chords in order to play a lot of songs. Learning the guitar will make it easier to learn other instruments if you want. And of course you can then play in a band if you wish, which is the most fun part of it
also stop mourning my childhood essentially. It's over. Time to make the most of adulthood.
I feel this, but remember - adulthood is what you make it. You will never have endless free time again, but you can bring some of your favorite hobbies from childhood into your adulthood. I feel like that fills the void for me. Good luck!

I'm too depressed for goals but I really hope you all achieve these aspirations next year. If you post here, you believe in something real, so you can live for a real purpose, so you can achieve these goals. Cheers.
Do more exercise
Read more books than 2024
Write a book
Try to be more normal
Not die
Not die
Yeah, I'm gonna take that one too!
Hope we both make it to 2026, Comrade.
I guess I'll list mine:
- move over to WFPB veganism and move away from junk food veganism.
- focus on finishing unmasking as an autistic person
- figure out how I want to present as enby agender
- finish my anarchist theory reading block and jump back into Lenin and Marx
- Get my freelance web development thing off the ground and actually get paying clients.
- Get my PSL branch off the ground
Get back into playing guitar. It's been about 5-6 years since I've picked up an instrument. Played regularly from 14-28, was even in a band. Ended up selling all my instruments because I was poor.
Just bought this for $180.
ShowGonna get a boss katana 50 and see how it goes
Also gonna get back into drawing. Haven't drawn since I was a kid. Seems like a fun, calming hobby. Thinking about just doing graphite or pen and paper.
I wanna improve my cardio. Work out more regular- I slacked off last year. I wanna improve my muscle strength. God willing im on a road to become fucking huge
I hope to get into another romantic relationship
I wanna try and learn 3-4 really complex and deep games like Shadow Empires, Dominons 6 etc
Seriously thinking about going vegan
Plus I wanna attempt and read a book a month (which might seem super low for some of you but I just got back into reading books a couple of years ago)

I have a recommendation regarding these two goals, it's called How Not to Die. It's a book about the health benefits of the whole-foods plant-based diet. The book is evidence-based and has thousands of references to scientific literature. It is very informative and has a lot of useful and actionable advice. I read it in 2024 and my diet is now healthier than it's ever been. I recommend it any chance I get. The author also wrote two cookbooks, which are also available for free on Anna's Archive
