That crushing ratio when your comment has one reply and the one upvote from yourself

Honestly, I'd be really happy if I got a reply. I don't mind if people don't upvote me, but that fact someone took the time to engage with me means a lot. Some people tend to like posts and comments and forget to upvote, such as myself. Internet points don't matter, but having another person in this world decide to have a conversation with me or at least have a response related to my words gives me a sense of community and that people are interested in what I talk about.

same here; but i think i'm starting to prefer the downvotes since it gives me a chance to quote rick and morty:

your boos mean nothing to me; i've seen what makes you cheer!

it works especially well now that the democrats unmasked and went wholesale dgaf about a genocide that they're committing and then turned around a escalated that genocide into a flirtation with ww3 when they no longer needed the votes.

Yeah, part of why I turned off upvotes. I care far more if someone takes the time of day to reply to me over just reading, upvoting and scrolling away

This is when we make power posters mods.

      Then we get power mods.

This is how class struggle starts.

    heart-sickle

I'm always happy when I have at least one person upvote my post or comment. Sometimes my posts are a bit cringe or odd, but the times when I get a lot of upvotes I feel so empowered like I wrote something good out of my baby socialist brain. Sometimes I post on communities that aren't very popular, like music, and I enjoy the fact that some people seem to consistently like my posts and like my taste in music.

There are also times when I feel like I undeservedly get more upvotes than another person I replied to. Like come on, I don't even think my post was that great.

My mind went to the Black Sabbath song, which while a staple of boomer radio for a long time wasn't a chart topper by any means at the time of release
