Imagine how awesome it would be to see Musk, Zuckerberg, Gates, Biden, Kamala get their head chopped off in times square. I love the "wall" and all, but it just doesn't compare

shrug-outta-hecks I live every day under a guillotine blade that's way less merciful. Death from freezing if I don't pay rent, starvation if I can't afford food, diabetes if I can't afford healthy food, PFAS/PFOA cancer if I do nothing at all anywhere. Those people are murdering me for profit instead of some crime. Their guillotine blade is hovering over the entire planet within my artificially-shortened lifetime. Turning that blade on them directly would be the most merciful response possible. Any alternative I can think of begins with lining every road with crosses.

Fun fact: The french last executioned someone with a guillotine while the original Star Wars was in theatres in 1977.

Every time I hear this factoid, people have always compared it with the Star Wars movies. I wonder why nothing else

because it's still culturally relevant more than most things that happened in 1977 I guess

I mean you could say it was during the Carter administration or some other 77 event but those feel more historical

interestingly the last public one was in 1939 and there's video of the event, also Christopher Lee said he was there.

I appreciate memes about it, but no. Any modern progressive political movement can and should embrace a zero-death-penalty policy, let the billionaires watch as the world gets better in their absence from a prison.

Zero death penalty for working class people. No value is produced keeping the monsters around to taunt them, and there will be counterrevolutionary forces that very well could break them out.

I think firing squads are way funnier. I watch shark tank with my friends and whenever one of the sharks (except Lori who I have a crush on) says something dumb one of us yells out "shoot that guy"

Hey they wanted us to put all this money into prison labor systems, somebody's gotta use them. Guillotines are a waste of human capital, I'm sure musk is smart enough to swing a hammer
