The right wing meme machine is really appealing to the lgb people that are vulnerable to radicalisation too. They are memeing femboys to death and openly joke about how gay everyone on the right is. If you try and joke about anything remotely gay in a liberal space you know what reaction you'll get? People freaking out about you speaking "inappropriately" and that the topic would be just as inappropriate if it were about anything straight. The democrats stink of fake support too and libs make homophobic remarks and jokes no less than right wingers but without the significant number of pro-gay things.

This is driving a significant crowd of LGB people that do not care about trans people into reactionary circles. It's much larger than people realise.

On top of that, Trump already demonstrated he wouldn't hurt them. The 14% turnout in 2016 had a "fear of unknown" to it and also came off the back of shootings that the lgbt community suffered, the nightclub shooting in Orlando was 2016 and right wingers were particularly shit about it.
