My favorite lenin quote is the one where he says history always takes decades to happen and anyone saying it can happen in weeks is a reactionary

Lib race science is the most bizarre shit in the world but I guess they need it to prove the contradictions in their beliefs? Like they believe all POC are virtuous, the dems are virtuous, so therefore any POC who doesn't like the dems are not really POC? Is that the logic?

I'm guessing she's a racist and saying "durr you're part white so you can't be anti-white" but white people are mixed race Middle Eastern-Euro hybrids to start anyway, and nobody's pointing that shit out when it comes to the refugee crisis

NGL, that reply account actually sounds like a sockpuppet/bot/fake account. Parsing that tweet was a struggle.

Sadly, that is just the way many Boomers write.

Boomer is definitely a mindset. My parents are gen x and are some of the biggest boomers I've ever encountered

Not an american, but my Gen X brother has the exact same boomer energy because he's landed a labour aristocrat job that's relatively safe.

Even my actual boomer parents have more empathy for people.

Same with my grandma. She grew up in the south but moved to sf bay area in her early 20s, but stayed pretty republican however she has much more empathy than both my parents combined. She always comments on how sad it is to see homeless and gives them a few bucks quite often. Whereas my parents are just the typical, "get a job bum" type of shitty people. Honestly if I talk to my grandma about leftist policy she agrees on most of it, but things like Fox warp her mind with how they demonize it all, it's truly just so fucked up.

Her ideology is very contradictory but I also feel like she is so old it's hard in a way to "change" how she views dems versus republicans after being drip fed all that fox shit for over a decade now. It sucks, but I'm glad she is willing to learn and do better when I confront her with her previous problematic views like saying my lesbian cousin is just confused and horrid shit like that. Idk what she truly believes but she won't ever say that shit again around me again after I explained how that type of reasoning has been used by bigots for centuries.

She is definitely not mad. She is attempting to post through it but she keeps saying dumber and more racist shit and more people commenting on her posts lol. At first I thought she was just being an extremely ignorant lib Karen but as it turns out she is also incredibly dumb and racist too lol

Yeah that made me mad too. Like I can just feel the tone of how this was typed out, telling a black man who raised a very valid point to stop being so uppity. This is also some of most annoying way to use IDPol, like OP should just be thankful that the VP has a skin tone that isn't white for once there for any problem, concerns or criticism is irrelevant.

I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.
