I just listened to 'Secunda' from the skyrim soundtrack and nearly cried. Can remember being a little 11 year old and playing that game after school all the time. Man. Sad hours.
People are remembering Skyrim like I remember Spyro the Dragon and I don't like it 😤
couldn't be me
imagine not still playing skyrim in the year of our lord 2020
Not a great game, but I still like wandering in the damn woods all these years later.
m o d s
mostly I'm still on it cuz it runs like a dream on my laptop which has alotta trouble with anything post 2014 lol
Darker nights mod plus wandering through the forest with a torch = a good time, everytime.
I always thought it was a bit ridiculous to have an esp just for torches but i finally got the old belt lantern mod; shits really good, finally use a shield when its dark, or a bow
That sounds like a nice solution, but then I'd miss being able to bash fuckers with my torch and light their asses on fire.
that's my go to with trolls, works like a charm
can't do a shield charge with the torch though, which is the funnest thing ever
Played it yesterday. I became the arch mage and I got the last of the dragon priest masks
Birthdays. In the most horrible definition of nostalgia, I feel old, even though I'm 24 "only", I have seen my teens pass at an incredible speed. Also, finding old school stuff, like grade reports, notes and so on, make me remember I failed at nearly everything I tried because I never put in the energy it required. Same goes for old photos, I found myself ugly past 10, and I still do at some degree; despite some contradictory experiences I have had. And despite all of this, I wish to go back, and change the way I lived.
In a weird way, I also feel nostalgic for a world and an age I have never experienced, aka the cold war. What strikes me is that the 20th century was one of the most horrific ones in history, and yet, for all its violence and death, it was the most hopeful one. FInding old French socialist songs, or your well-known soviet ones makes me wonder what world would we be living in, had things happened slightly differently. The biggest tragedy of our times, is what hasn't been accomplished when so much potential was there : imagine a world without poverty, starvation or disease. Imagine that meme where you ask someone about the horrors of 2020, and that person just wonders what the fuck you're saying, before telling you you're going to be late for the first manned landing on Mars.
Guess I'll spend the rest of the night listening to some sovietwave, while browsing r/collapse or something.
This thread is a big disappointment, too many gamers here. Everyone start posting nostalgic stuff that i can relate to right now

I keep forgetting Todd Howard has released this at least five times in a decade.
I very rarely "treat" myself - only handful of games purchased new/not on sale, occasional "toys" (mostly little QoL things for around the house), etc. That being said, I went total consoomer and picked up Super Mario 3D All Stars - Sunshine was my first 3D Mario and I 100%ed Galaxy.
Where they great "remasters"? Hell no. Was it overpriced? Most likely. Did I get fucking nostalgic dopamine giggles playing them again? You bet your ass.
Most PS2 games I played as a kid. SOCOM, the need for speed games from that era, gran turismo 3 and 4, metal gear solid games, etc.
Crayon Physics Deluxe soundtrack and anything that reminds me of it takes me back to playing indie games on my shitty laptop at my grandma's house cause they were all it could run
