I was taught in middle school that abstinence only applied to all areas of life, including abstaining from eating ranch dressing on salad and not playing video games for five hours.

I know several bio teachers, while they don't have to teach creationism here they do have to treat evolution as a "story" and really emphasize that it's a theory, though I know at least one of them explains that gravity is also a theory and that theories in science are essentially proven
